For HSE professionals
HSE professionals in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and across Canada.
Safe Haven is building a shortlist of vetted HSE professionals. If you do this work, you can join a private shortlist that Troy Nordyke keeps himself. Joining means he can consider you if an employer asks. It does not promise an introduction or a role.
Heavy industrial construction
Oil sands
Mining
Remote operations
Saskatchewan, Alberta, and across Canada
Advisors and coordinators
HSE advisors and coordinators who have supported crews on active jobs, including the unglamorous parts of a shift.
Supervisors and safety leads
Supervisors and site safety leads who have run the safety role while the work was moving, not only after it stopped.
Tickets with a record
NCSO and other designations count. They count more when you can say which sites they were used on.
More than one region
Saskatchewan, Alberta, or several parts of Canada. If you can go, say where. If you cannot, say that too.
Your record, in plain words
The form asks for contact details, where you are, your HSE experience, tickets and designations, the roles you want, and where in Canada you can work. It also asks for more details, including a resume if you choose to send one.
Troy reads it himself
He looks at the field work, not a keyword score. If you are a fit, you stay on the shortlist. If you are not a fit, nothing about your submission is made public.
A call before your name goes out
Troy may contact you about roles. Your details go to an employer only after Troy describes a specific role and you say yes. You can say no and remain on the list. A yes for one role is not a yes for the next.
Cost
Before any introduction
Employers pay on terms agreed in writing before any introduction. HSE professionals never pay.
Joining is not a job offer, and it is not a promise that an employer will see your details.
Safe Haven is based in Regina. Saskatchewan and Alberta are the focus for construction and industrial work, including heavy industrial work, oil sands, mining, and remote operations. People who can work in other parts of Canada belong on the list too. Put the regions you will actually go to on the form.
Privacy
Your details stay with Troy until you say otherwise
Troy may contact you about roles. Your details go to an employer only after Troy describes a specific role and you say yes. You can ask to be taken off the list at any time. The privacy policy explains what is kept, and the data deletion page explains how to ask for it to be removed.
For employers, the employers page explains how to request a shortlist. The person who keeps the list is Troy Nordyke.
