About

Connecting employers with vetted HSE professionals in Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the rest of Canada.

Based in Regina, serving Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the rest of Canada. Safe Haven HSE Consulting Inc. is Troy Nordyke's practice: a private shortlist, read by someone who is still in the field.

Still an HSE advisor, not a desk between you and the site

Troy has spent more than 15 years in senior HSE roles. The work has been heavy industrial construction, the oil sands, mining, and remote operations in Western Canada and Alaska. He is still in the field. Safe Haven is how he uses that judgment: he is building a shortlist of vetted HSE professionals and connects employers with them on request.

The shortlist stays small. He only makes an introduction he would stand behind, and he reads every submission and every employer request himself.

Troy holds the National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) designation and is an ISO 45001 Lead Auditor.

What vetted means for these HSE professionals

Vetted, here, is a personal read of the work. Which sites. Which crews. What the person did when production was pushing the other way. A designation is part of that picture. It is not the whole picture.

Troy does not pass along a name because a resume repeats the words in a job ad. He introduces someone only when he would stand behind that introduction. Employers get a short list and his notes. Safety professionals are told about a specific role before an employer sees their name.

That is the whole practice. It is not a public database. Employers pay on terms agreed in writing before any introduction. HSE professionals never pay.

Regina, Saskatchewan, Alberta, and the rest of Canada

Home base is Regina. The core of the shortlist is construction and industrial HSE work in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Troy's own field years also include other parts of Western Canada and Alaska. Those years inform how he reads a site. They are not a claim that every province is covered the same way.

If a role is outside Saskatchewan and Alberta, send it anyway and say where it is. He will tell you whether the shortlist can cover that site yet. If you are a safety professional who can work in more than one region, say so when you join.

Employers can read how a shortlist request works or request a shortlist. Safety professionals can join the shortlist.
